The first NOperas! production, the logistics opera “Chaosmos” by Sinan/Rausch/Kästner, celebrated its premiere at the Wuppertal Opera in January 2020. Due to Corona, the sequel could not be realised at Oper Halle and Theater Bremen as planned. Instead, “Chaosmos – The Film” was created as a further development of the joint theatre project.
In the season review of the current issue of “Die Deutsche Bühne”, the opera for 4 soloists, orchestra and forklift truck is highlighted as one of the remarkable achievements of the 2020/21 season.
Roland Dippel comments: “A project exactly at the interface between filmed stage production and autonomous video production. An artistically exciting attempt to further think the theatrically affirmative genre of opera into a digital/filmic entity with cyclical, varying functionalisation and clip-like scene cells.”
