Marc Sinan is a
composer and guitarist. In his work he tries out new ways of
collaboration between artists in a transcultural, transmedial and
music-theatrical context. He usually works in personal union as
composer, artistic director, guitarist and producer with his own
ensemble, the Marc Sinan Company, and with changing international
guests and partners. Recordings of his works are published by ECM. He
lives and works in Berlin. His socially critical, conceptual and
full-length works are performed internationally and have been guests
at important festivals. Sinan has collaborated with the Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dresden Symphony Orchestra, the No
Borders Orchestra, the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, Jörg Widmann
and many others.
Konrad Kästner is an independent director and video artist. He comes from Leipzig, worked for several years as a researcher and assistant director for advertising films in South Africa and then studied filmmaking at the Konrad Wolf Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam Babelsberg. His film “Cathedrals” was awarded the Max Bresele Prize for politically relevant film and was shortlisted for the Academy Award 2015. He has directed video for numerous plays at the Theater Potsdam, the Kammerspiele of the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Theater Bielefeld, Theater Kiel, Theater Lübeck and the Halle (Saale) Opera, among others. He wrote and directed the investigative research plays “DER AUFTRAG” and “Die Möglichkeit” and directed Faust 2 at Theater Bielefeld.
Tobias Rausch has been working as a director and author in the municipal theatre and in the independent scene since 2001. He is founder of the performance collective lunatiks, of which he was a member until 2015. His focus is on works in which the play text is based on research. He was awarded the Otto-Kasten-Prize of the Intendant Group in the German Stage Association 2012, the Bremen Writer and Producer Award 2007, the Humboldt Award 2001 and several scholarships. He regularly teaches at the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts, the Zurich University of the Arts and the Berlin University of the Arts. He is co-initiator of the conference “Climate meets Theatre” and the Berlin Research Theatre Days. Since the 2019/2020 season he has been director of the Bürgerbühne at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden.
